Our First Project

We took this picture on the first day of the distribution and the chair was also my team’s first project. We had arrived at the venue that morning and set up tables, chairs, and tools in the shade of an enormous tree. The little boy, Angel, received this chair, and like many other kids, he came carried in his mother’s arms. It was such a crazy thing to hear these moms talk about carrying their children everywhere for 10,11,12 years. 

Watching children sit in their chairs for the first time and then looking to their families in the eyes was so special. We got to push them around to see the birds and flowers and listen to them giggle the whole time. It was also so incredible to watch our team just dive right in to building these chairs with confidence and determination. The kids were curious and excited. The entire day was filled with so much joy for the LORD.
